Bangalore Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology conducted a Web CME between 3 pm to 5. 30 pm on 30th September 2020.

President, Dr. Thejavathy welcomed all the faculty and participants to the programme. As September was cancer awareness month, theme of our clinical session was on that.

We had Dr. Somashekar S P, Prof. and HOD of Surgical Oncology department, Manipal Cancer Centre as our invited speaker for the day and he delivered a talk on “Approach to breast lump – What every gynaecologist shall know”. Dr. Padmini Isaac and Dr. Gomathy Narayanan, both senior members of our society were the chairpersons for the same. The talk was excellent with clear messages about steps and ways of approach to a breast lump. It was very interactive session.

Next session was panel discussion on the topic of “Emerging trends in Screening of Gynaecological cancers”. Esteemed moderators for the panel were Dr. Uttam D Bafna and Dr. Vidyamani Lingegowda. The panel consisted of 6 panellists, Dr. Umadevi, Dr. Nagarathnamma, Dr. Geeta P Shanbhag, Dr. Manjula Patil, Dr. Jyothi G S, and one out station faculty, Dr. Anbukkani Subbian. All the panellists gave valuable inputs. At the end of the panel session, Dr. Vidyamani conveyed important take home messages.

We had about 150 participants. Audience were satisfied with the good show.
Finally, Dr. Rekha Rajendrakumar, Hon. Secretary delivered vote of thanks, thanking all.
